Note: some plans exclude 'organized competitive sports' — check the policy wording. IMG Patriot America Plus and Trawick Safe Travels USA Comprehensive both cover sports injuries under their standard terms.

Are coaches and team staff covered under the same policy?

Yes. Anyone included on the group policy is covered, regardless of role. Coaches, trainers, medical staff, and chaperones can all be added at the same per-person rate.

What if a player needs surgery abroad?

Contact the 24/7 assistance line immediately. They will locate the nearest appropriate surgical facility, arrange direct billing, and coordinate care. If local surgical care is inadequate, emergency medical evacuation will be arranged.

Is there coverage for cardiac events during competition?

Yes. Sudden cardiac arrest and other acute cardiac events are covered as emergency medical conditions — regardless of whether the individual has a pre-existing heart condition (acute onset coverage applies).

Can we get coverage for the entire season rather than trip by trip?

Annual multi-trip plans are available for coaches and staff who travel frequently. For the team as a whole, group visitor insurance is purchased per trip and can be renewed for subsequent tournaments.
